Today's missive will be even shorter than last week's, mainly because - as always - I am busier than a busy bee being busy in his business! But when does that ever change, I hear you ask...

Well, it doesn't, I just seem to get busier, so maybe I need to address my work/life balance, or something. Still, at least Baalor arrived this week.

So this week we started our Black Friday shenanigans and while I haven't yet put a news post on about it here I will do early next week. Suffice to say, order now or we might not get your order out before Christmas - we have a huge Grey Wulf backlog, as I keep saying...

Cormac Fir Danu

Enough of that: look at this new thing! Everybody! Look!

This, ladeez and gennelmen, is Cormac Fir Danu - basically an earth goddess-warped version of the new Cormac, sculpted by someone who is rapidly becoming a superb sculptor, Rafael Callegari. Those overgrown muscles! Those veins! Those feet poking out!

Some of you may ask how he's keeping his britches on. Well, as I always say, wizards did it. No, honestly: being a magical warp, his clothing stretches and changes with him. Except for his boots, I just couldn't resist his toes poking out. Oh and his axe. That's the same size. Sense? You don't make any.

You'll be pleased to know that Rafael will be sculpting next month's releases, the Atalantes, starting with Herakles. We can't wait for that! Dray Win will also be contributing - he's sculpting the 40mm sized female kolossi, the korikolossi, which are going to look superb...

Haircut 100AD

This week I have been staring at some of Angus McBride's superb artwork, mainly to draw inspiration for Quinn Colvin's latest masterpiece, which will be Conall Cóel, the mighty high king of all Eriu...

While seeking inspiration for Quinn's brief, as is my wont I image searched for Irish high kings and came across Angus' work on Brian Boru (seated), a high king of Ireland back in the day, or as Angus imagined him to be I guess; but my attention was immediately drawn to the henchman - for what else could he be, looking like that? - for both his beefcakeness and his haircut. That haircut! I love it. So I immediately decided I wanted Conall to look a bit like him, sorry not sorry Brian. Quinn, of course, has gone with it - here's the concept sketch he gave me:

Obviously he hasn't finished him yet, but that won't take long; expect to see him next week
