Thurgis, Werwulf Wiḡlere

Those of Thurgis' kind are rare indeed, for few amongst the Miercna have the patience and intelligence to take the journey of the wiglereas; and even though their affinity with the wilder beasts of the land ensures a kinship with them mere men cannot possess, even fewer sorcerers ascend to the wulf that lurks within all. So Thurgis has become one of them rather than simply with them, and his powers are greater still, for he is able to rouse the great beasts of the deeper forests and the hidden dells, the great-wolves and the slaughter-wolves and the murder-wolves, both in the defence of his land and the conflicts of his lord.
