Fornjötr, Bergjötunn

Of the unbroken mountains is Fornjötr, tall and strong, indomitable in the tales of men and in the memory of gods, a true power of the natural world feared by all that can. Many have stood against him; for he is battle-scarred and slaughter-bred; but he is hewn of Jötunheimr itself, as told by the skjoldin and proven by the blades that have shattered upon him; so Fornjötr remains, as his enemies do not, to roam Midgard with the rapacious humans of the Skilfings, seeking blood and war, searching for one with the courage and might to test him.
