Led by their king Manwgan, the Brythoniaid of Powys are much like those of Gwynedd, doughty warriors that defend their lands fiercely from the raiders and usurpers that plague the coastlines and riverlands of Cymru: but instead of bringing dragons to battle they bring the wocorau. Related to the dragons but even more ancient, the wocorau live in the mountains of Powys and are somewhat wild and difficult to understand; but they bring a unique ability to aid the humans that live beside them. The wocorau - which include the Dynwocor and Cocwocor as well as the freakish Wocor themselves - may not breathe fire or have natural armour that is almost impenetrable, but they can debilitate their enemies with a terrifying shriek that can burst eardrums and addle brains.
