A virtuoso sculpt of Allan Carrasco's from the incredible artwork by Carlos Amaral, and painted beautifully by Paul Whittaker, Andain is a root beast, a huge tree-monster of the Érainn that is even more powerful than the yew and oak beasts already favoured by the hosts of the Uí Néill. For whilst the strength and durability of those ancient beings is retained by the root beasts in their limbs and back, their younger, more flexible rootwood bodies ensure their speed is much greater, ensuring the power of the earth goddess Danu is felt by her enemies much more quickly.
